Trip to Kauai - our 9th anniversary

We had the privilege of traveling to Kauai, Hawaii for our 9th wedding anniversary. We went with Dennis's family. His parents were celebrating their 40th anniversary. We all had a wonderful time and each want to return to Kauai someday!

Towards the end of our trip, after Lloyd, Jenny, Lenora and Saisha left - we spent 3 nights with Grandpa and Grandma Smith, who were visiting Kauai during that time. We certainly had special times with them.

Oftentimes - I wish I could bottle up the warmth of the sunshine and the smells that our travels have given us and when I am feeling down or in the middle of winter - when I just can't seem to remember what it is like to be warm - open the bottles up and receive a little bit of paradise again! I suppose that is why I always want to go back to where we've already been - to relive and experience again our travels!

The view from our lanai!

We spotted whales several times!

The first day, Lloyd treated all of us to a tour of Kauai

A sea turtle! I found a whole bunch who were playing in the water during a walk I took. They were so much fun to watch!

Good-bye's are hard. Especially when Good-bye's involve people you love in a place that has captured your heart - and is considered paradise!

Heading home!

Kauai - you have captured our hearts and we do hope to return someday when we can!
